Bonnie Raitt

Friday 20 June

About the artist

Although singer, songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt can proudly say she has reached the grand age of 75, she fortunately shows no signs of slowing down. After releasing her self-titled debut album in 1971, the California native performed as a cult favorite for 20 years. She experienced her big break-through in the early 1990s with her Grammy-winning albums Nick Of Time and Luck Of The Draw, featuring classic hits such as Something To Talk About and I Can’t Make You Love Me. With a style that blends blues, R&B, rock, and pop, Raitt has released 21 albums so far, and gained three more Grammys with the latest, 2022’s Just Like That… That same year, she received the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, while this year saw her being celebrated as Kennedy Center’s 47th Class of Honorees. She was present at the very first edition of HIBF, and this year this legend will surely blow the roof off the tent again.
