About the artist

Country singer and songwriter Margo Price hails from Illinois but has been calling Nashville home for many years. She started out playing piano and singing in the church choir, but also studied dance and theater. Once in Nashville, she did odd jobs and played with several bands, quickly becoming a fixture on the local scene. The year 2016 was a big one in her career: not only did she release her debut album, Midwest Farmer’s Daughter, but Price also performed on Saturday Night Live as well as on Later… With Jools Holland, and toured the UK, where her album reached no. 1 on the UK Country Albums Chart. Her own country was not far behind: in 2018, she was nominated for a Grammy as Best New Artist. Citing Tom Petty, Janis Joplin, Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt and Dolly Parton as significant influences, Price’s voice has also been compared to those of Loretta Lynn and Tammy Wynette. With five albums to her name, she will show Grolloo a thing or two.
