About the artist
The Heavy Heavy are a retro inspired rock band, making ‘the music the sixties forgot’ and with a sound that makes you immediately think of Jefferson Airplane, The Band and The Mamas & The Papas, with a generous dash of The Rolling Stones. Formed in 2019 and hailing from the small town of Malvern in the British countryside, the band’s co-founders are singer Georgie Fuller and multi-instrumentalist Will Turner, who together form the core of the band which is extended to five people when they play live. Fuller is an experienced singer who performed at Montreux Jazz Festival as a teenager and acted in theatres, Turner started playing guitar as a teen and later joined several psychedelic/surf rock bands. Together, they decided to make music that sounded like their ‘favourite records ever’ and so far, that has worked out amazingly: after a successful EP and sold-out concerts in the UK and abroad, 2024 saw the release of their long-awaited debut album, One Of A Kind.
