Welkom in de Blues Village Grolloo

The picturesque Drenthe village of Grolloo, which has about 800 inhabitants, is located about 11 km southeast of Assen, the birthplace of one of the Netherlands’ most famous blues singers: Harry Muskee

Muskee lived for many years in a farmhouse in Grolloo, which his band Cuby & the Blizzards used as a rehearsal space. With their musical successes, they put Grolloo on the map as a blues village. Since 2011, the farmhouse has been set up as Cuby & the Blizzards museum.

Overnight stay

Grolloo itself only has a few hotels, but there are plenty of options for overnight stays in the immediate vicinity. More information can be found on this page of the province of Drenthe.
