About the artist
Celebrating his 50th anniversary of performing in 2024, George Thorogood has been setting stages on fire with his band The Destroyers and their “high-energy boogie-blues” for many decades. Starting his career in the acoustic style of blues legends Robert Johnson and Elmore James, Thorogood has done thousands of live shows and sold 15 million records so far. His 1982 song Bad To The Bone became an absolute classic. Turning 75 this past year has not made the guitarist take it slower. On the contrary: in recent years, the band toured with the likes of John Fogerty as well as ZZ Top, and received the B.B. King Award from TheMontreal International Jazz Festival. In 2026, they will continue their The Baddest Show On Earth Tour, a “stage-shaking, roof-raising, guitar-snarling blast.” Be warned!
