About the artist

American singer-songwriter Kip Moore originally had other plans: he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, a professional golfer. But as a student, the musical “late bloomer” (who didn’t start playing guitar until he was 17) decided to pursue a different passion. After graduating, he moved to Nashville (via Hawaii), began writing for others, and eventually landed a recording contract of his own. His second single, Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck, reached number one on the country charts, leaving him wanting more: his first album, Up All Night, became the most successful male country debut album of both 2012 and 2013. He now has six albums to his name; the most recent, Solitary Tracks, was released last year. Prior to that, he received the International Artist Achievement Award at the CMA Awards for his worldwide touring and promotion of country music.
